BCH Families

Beaconsfield Children's Hub is dedicated to providing a warm, enriching environment for children and families. We see families as the experts in their children, and as such, encourage parents and siblings participation and to be an integral part of our program. This holistic approach ensures that individual children's interests and developmental needs are the focus of our programs. Families are welcome to join children at many special days of the year, including Mothers and Fathers days, Special People's day, Easter and Christmas festivities and more. We also invite parents to share any special talents/interests with the children. Examples would be if you play a musical instrument, or have an exciting job, or have been on an adventure that you might like to share with the children. If you would like to enrol your child into Beaconsfield Children's Hub, please contact us on 9769 3333 to make an appointment to view our centre. You may also like to complete the Enrolment Form and bring it with you.

Family Assistance Office

The Australian Government is committed to ensuring that Australian families are able to access affordable, flexible and high-quality childcare. The Government provides a number of subsidies and programs to help with the cost of childcare, with the Child Care Subsidy being the main type of assistance for families.

Centrelink pays this subsidy directly to your childcare provider to reduce the fees you pay.

Who can get it?
You may be eligible if you or your partner meet all of the following:

  • care for your child at least 2 nights per fortnight, or have 14% care
  • are liable for fees for care provided at an approved child care service
  • meet the residence rules.

Your child must also meet both of these:

Each person that’s liable to pay childcare fees will need to apply for this subsidy and meet these criteria. Any Child Care Subsidy owed to families following the end of year reconciliation process will be paid directly to families as a lump sum. If a family has been overpaid Child Care Subsidy during the year the family may have to repay some Child Care Subsidy.

Additional Child Care Subsidy, who can get it?
You need to be eligible for Child Care Subsidy and meet extra criteria to get Additional Child Care Subsidy. To get this you must be:

  • an eligible grandparent getting an income support payment
  • transitioning from certain income support payments to work
  • experiencing temporary financial hardship
  • caring for a child who is vulnerable or at risk of harm, abuse or neglect.

Where can I get further information on the Child Care Package?
